We drove around the loop twice.
We didn't get out of the car because Ty fell asleep on the way there.
Our weekend didn't go according to plan. Ty, Maddie, and I traveled to Wilmington after school Friday. Saturday morning, Maddie and I were suppose to go to the Holiday Tea at church. Ty was going to stay with his cousins and Uncle Jason. However, Maddie ran a fever Friday night and all day Saturday. Ty had a virus during the week with the same symptoms that Maddie was now experiencing. Instead of going to the Holiday Tea, I packed everyone back in the car and returned home. Maddie laid around all Saturday afternoon and evening. We spent the early morning Sunday on the couch together drinking milk and eating "suckers" (a.k.a. popsicle). Her fever broke around 7 a.m., and by 10 a.m. she was back to herself. Looking at Christmas lights was the only fun adventure we had all weekend.
