Zoo Babies

On Sunday, we traveled to the Columbus Zoo. It was hot and packed. However, we had a fun time. Like usual, we started out with a plan of attack and didn't follow it for very long. First, we went to the petting zoo. Ty attacked the goats and started beating.....I mean petting them. Maddie wasn't too sure about the goats! Next, we searched for exhibits where the animals were out and in a position that Maddie and Ty could see them. Once we found one, we unbuckled each of them and picked them up so they could see. Then we would put them back in the stroller and buckle them in. Maddie found the elephants very interesting while Ty loved all the people. As usual, Ty caught the attention of many ladies! (Must take after his dad) Some even came over and commented on how happy and cute he was! Ty always responded by flashing his biggest smile (you know, the one where his eyes disapper)! I had packed our lunch so we could have a picnic, however, we found ourselves eating it in the car with the air conditioning cranked!

The Perfect View

Ty and Maddie like to look out the window and see what's happening in the neighborhood. I am not sure how good the view is with all the hand prints smearing the window!

Snuggle Time

I was trying to sneak in a little rest while Maddie and Ty were entertaining themselves. However, they thought it was fun to climb on and off the couch to get a little snuggle time. Of course, I enjoyed it too, since snuggle time is rare now!

Going Bananas

Ty and Maddie love bananas. They were sitting on Chris's lap having their afternoon snack.

Maddie can drive the Pooh car standing up. I am not sure who taught her how to drive.....

Our Morning Trix

BB (our babysitter) got Maddie and Ty hooked on Trix. Each morning Maddie says "yummy, yummy." This morning Ty and Maddie got up earlier than normal and had to have thier "yummy, yummy" before BB showed up. I am not sure how much they eat, but it keeps them occupied for quite some time. Molly also likes Trix!

Where's BB?

Ty and Maddie are waiting for BB (our babysitter) to arrive. She always has something special for them each morning to eat. Ty yells until BB picks him up!

Hugs

Ty and Maddie are learning how to "love." They are practicing thier hugs on each other.

A Rare Occurance

Maddie and Ty were sitting on the couch waiting for BB (our babysitter) to come. I had to take a picture of them because they actually had thier own blanket and pacifer. Usually Ty wants Maddie's and Maddie want Ty's. As you can see that didn't last long!

Visits From Our Friends

On Thursday, Ryan stopped by to play with Ty and Maddie outside. He found the wagon fun to play in too. Ryan and Ty are pals. Ryan gives Ty good hugs.

On Friday, Maddie hung out with Alyssa while she showed us her prom pictures. Friday night the Brownriggs came over for a play date. Braxton and the twins had fun in the ball pit.

Yum, Yum

Chris and I are finally letting Ty and Maddie enjoy a sweet here and there. Tonight they got an Oreo after dinner. It didn't take them long to figure out to break the cookie apart and lick the inside! It took quite a few washclothes to clean them up afterwards...good thing it was bath night!

Diaper Queen

Maddie is now in the climbing stage. She decided to take a break on top of the diaper box. She was very proud of herself for finding this new place to hang out!

Crib Time

Ty and Maddie enjoy spending a little time in the crib together. I love it when they want in there! Then I have them "caged" for a few minutes so I can get something accomplished (like putting all the socks that Maddie pulled out back in the drawer!). Maddie wanted Ty to read a book, but Ty wanted Maddie's pacifier.

A Saturday Afternoon

After lunch Maddie, Ty and I went outside to play in the front yard while Chris finished mowing. Maddie and Ty enjoyed watching Daddy work and also entertained themselves with thier slide and red wagon. Maddie, of course, couldn't leave Ty alone. She kept taking Ty's hat and wanted to be wherever he was. Since Ty is use to this, he graciously put up with it and let her have her way!

Make Room for Me

Ty was sitting on my lap playing with his duck. Maddie came in the room and noticed her brother having one on one time with mommy. Maddie instantly become jealous, and inched her way onto my lap!

Move Over Ty

Maddie wanted to sit in Ty's chair. So she did.......even with Ty in it!

Our 1st Swingset

We have been enjoying our new swingset that Ma and Pa got us for our 1st birthday. Ty thinks he is a stud in his shades!
