Quick Trip

Friday night Chris had a tournament game in Marysville so I loaded up the kids and went to Wilmington. Ma and Pa had been on vacation and we hadn't seen the fam since Carson's birthday party.
Maddie and Ty have horrible colds so we just stayed in and played with Carson and Logan during the 24 hours we were in Wilmington.
Aunt Tracey taught Ty had to use Logan's video camera. He thought that was pretty cool.
Carson lost his two front teeth!
Isn't that the best smile?
(Maddie has lost 5 teeth. She can show you! Wherever she has a gap that is where she has lost a tooth.)
Boys will be boys.
always wrestling
Carson getting Ty because he has Pez.
Maddie showing off some gymnastics moves.
Trying to capture the busyness in the room. The cousins were playing a game of money in the middle.
They move so fast they are just a blur!
It was a short but good trip.

Sunday

Sunday I had Rite of Sending at 10:30 mass and then Rite of Elections in Columbus in the afternoon.

Chris stayed home with Maddie and Ty because they still have nasty coughs and I have diagnosed Ty with a double ear infection. They were not too pleased that I was going to church without them!

Ty cheered up when Chris said that he would invite Mimi and Papaw over.

Chris had to paint Maddie's nail for her because I didn't have time before church. Didn't he do a great job?

Peking Acrobats

Monday evening we took Maddie and Ty to see the Peking Acrobats at Secrest.
Ty loved it! He was clapping, cheering, yelling "Yea acrobats!"
Maddie loved it too (even though you can't tell here!). She was extremely pleased that she could cheer through the entire performance!
I had showed Ty and Maddie some You Tube videos of the acrobats so they would know what to expect. They kept asking when the bike was going to come out. I showed them a video of like 10 acrobats on one bike! We only stayed for the first half since that lasted over an hour and it was after 8 before intermission began. We figured not to press our luck since they were being so good!
Chris picked us some sweet seats in the balcony. However, I didn't bring my zoom lens so the pictures aren't too great.
The acrobats were amazing and so talented! I would love to see them again!

Em's Birthday

Emily's birthday was over the weekend. We celebrated with her on Sunday evening at the Japanese Steakhouse in Newark. It was fun to have dinner and adult conversations with some of our best friends!

Emma is 7

Emma celebrated her 7th birthday Saturday!
Maddie and Ty were way excited to be at her party.
Otis on the other hand just wanted to take a nap.
waiting to blow out the candles

Ty enjoying some cake and ice cream.
Maddie too
opening presents
two peas in a pod
Ty loved Otis...FROM A DISTANCE. Every time Otis would come close, Ty would jump into daddy's arms.
Ty checking out all his goodies in his gift bag. He just dumped everything out and went through it.
Maddie on the other hand took one item out at a time.
Look at Papaw's face!
Ty writing on his chalk board.

Basketball

I have done a poor job documenting the basketball season this year. I took some pics on my phone of the last regular season game.
Maddie and Ty walking into the game hand in hand.
hanging out on the stairs between games
waiting for the national anthem to be sung
watching the cheerleaders
wanting to know how many quarters until he gets to go to the concession stand
doing some cheers

Baptism

We had the privilege of witnessing the baptism of Reese and Reagan.
Reese and Reagan with parents and godparents
Reagan checking out the crowd!
Maddie was a little tired.

Maddie and Carter watching
Chris hung out with Frankie during the baptism so Tony and Jessi could do their godparent duties.
After the baptism we had lunch in the church basement.
R&R opening their presents.

"It's nice outside"

Ohio's weather....50 and sunny in February. I am over complaining about the lack of snow and how we have only used one snow day. So I am enjoying the mild winter weather!
Maddie was not feeling well Saturday morning, so we cancelled our plans to go to COSI and to Ashland to watch Alyssa play basketball and stayed home instead.
Ty wanted to go outside to play and that seemed to perk Maddie up a bit. Once outside Maddie said, "It's nice outside!"
We explored our muddy yard.
We chalked the driveway. Ty threw chalk and had to sit in time out.

Out of time out and playing basketball.
Now onto soccer.
Then to the swing set.
Maddie wanted me to get a picture of her posing like this. I cannot remember what she called this move.
Ty wiped out.
He's up and climbing.
Maddie is swinging.....one of her favorite things to do outside.
Ty joined her.
swinging on his belly
Maddie not quite herself....she had to take a break.
Not for long...back up playing soccer.
