Parade and Bonfire

Maddie and Daddy waiting for the parade to begin.
BB was at the parade too.

Ty wanted his BB and was happy with her.

Ty and Maddie watching the parade. A lady in the parade came over to shake Ty's hand.
Ty and I watching the fireworks.
Alyssa, who is on the homecoming court, holding the babies.

Tonight we went to Dresden for Tri Valley's Homecoming Parade and Bonfire. This was Ty and Maddie's first parade and bonfire. The parade was short: homecoming court, band, cheerleaders, and football team. Then we went to the bonfire which had fireworks, another first. Maddie and Ty watched the fireworks and didn't mind the loud booms.

Welcome Fall

Remember When....

Chris put Ty in this position, which was how Ty spent lots of time when he was tiny. Ty tolerated it for awhile; however, he doesn't fit quite as well.

Daddy's Dishwasher

Chris was doing the dishes. I pulled over a chair for Maddie to join him. Chris said it wouldn't work. I assured him Maddie would just watch, at least that is what she does with me. I was right for about three minutes. Then the bubbles became irresistible!

The Stolen Cup

I had to document that sometimes Ty wins...he stole Maddie's sippie cup and got to drink her milk. He was very proud of himself!

A Puppet Show

BB made Ty and Maddie sock puppets. They think they are pretty cool and are enjoying them.

Our Cleaning Lady

Maddie has taken interest in using the battery powered vacuum. She use to chase it around the kitchen, but not does it herself. On the other hand, she is terrified of the "real" vacuum. She runs and hides!

Tupperware

Chris and his helpers cleaned out the tupperware cabinet. Maddie and Ty were in Paradise with all the lids and containers.

Fall Family Fun

In the pumpkin patch..
In the corn maze...

Pumpkins...
Maddie accidently got licked by a cow.
Maddie and Ty didn't quite know what to think of the straw.
Waiting our turn for the wagon ride..
A rare family photo...look hard we are all there.
I think Ty could have watched the animals all day.

Saturday afternoon we ventured to McDonald's Greenhouse. Once there Ty and Maddie picked out their own pumpkin, took a hay ride, played in the giant corn box, and viewed the animals in the petting zoo. No one was brave enough to touch the animals today. We also tried to find our way through the corn maze. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful. Ty hated it because corn stalks kept hitting his face, therefore, he cried. I am not sure why Maddie was unhappy, but she was. However, all the other activities were fun. They acted like they had never seen cows before so they were mesmerized by them.

Log Cabin

Our kind neighbors gave us their log cabin play house. The daughters had outgrown it and now Maddie and Ty can enjoy it. Their favorite game to play is Peek-a-Boo.

Loyal Fans

Chris brought back this OSU folding sign from the game Saturday night. It is now Ty and Maddie's new favorite toy. At least one good thing came from the game. Thanks Ma and Pa for giving Chris a ticket!

Need a Laugh?

Maddie was "helping" me fold the laundry. She took my clean underwear one by one and put them around her neck like a necklace. This did occupy her for some time so I could get the rest of the laundry folded. She needed help getting them off, but quickly would put them back on one by one. Ty (not pictured) was busy "folding" the socks. Needless to say the underwear and socks went back into the dirty clothes.
