EnterTRAINment Junction

Logan looking cute in his costume!
The birthday boy
Ty was mesmerized by all the trains.
Taking a break from watching the trains and enjoying the play area. Ty climbed on the table to play!

Ty making the trains move by pushing the red buttons.

Ty and Ma playing on the train table.

The cousins with Aunt Tracey and Ma....the only way I can manage these trips with my mom and sister!
Carson celebrated his 4th birthday with 12 friends at EnterTRAINment Junction in West Chester. It is the world's largest (25.000 sq ft) indoor train display. As part of the party, we got to take a back stage tour of the place! Chris didn't get to attend the party due to basketball, but he wants to go back with us!

Aunt Duties

Saturday morning while Maddie and Ty were taking naps, I got to go watch Carson play indoor soccer and Logan run his Pine Derby car for Boy Scouts. I was a proud aunt!

That Was Easy

Ty grabbed the pop tarts. I didn't think anything about it. Little did I know he could get them open and even gave one to Maddie.

Happy 4th Birthday Carson

Ty trying out Carson's new bike.
Carson on his new bike. He rode it around the house all weekend.

Carson waiting for his big gift...the bike.
Maddie watching Carson open presents. He got a Thomas clock so he knows when it's 7 am (that's when he can get out of bed).
Carson opening his soccer cleats.
Friday was Carson's 4th birthday. We traveled to Wilmington to spend the weekend with him. Last year we missed his birthday because Ty had the flu. This year was almost a repeat. Both Maddie and Ty had a stomach virus for about a week (notice Maddie's "white bucket" that followed her around in case she got sick...again).

Watching Barney

Maddie and Ty got a Barney video for Christmas. They have never really been allowed to watch much T.V.; therefore, they have not been interested in videos. They do like Barney's music and like to listen to his CDs. Anyway, Chris put on the DVD and they liked the parts where there was dancing and singing. Maddie was more into it than Ty.

Shopping Mall

I got a text from BB after school today to meet her at the mall. So after school, I went to the mall to find that Maddie and Ty had been playing in the little playland since 2pm! We continued to play until after 5 p.m. They were having a blast and liked all the other kids. I have a feeling this is going to be there new hangout! To my surprise, Chris did not flip out once he found out that Maddie and Ty had played at the mall. He is anti-germs and says "those places" are a breeding ground for grossness! I am still trying to talk him in to letting the twins go to Chuck 'E Cheese!! He says "No chance!"

Open Gym

I took Ty and Maddie to play in the gym after Chris's basketball practice. We loaded the car with numerous toys with wheels.
Ty enjoying a fast ride.
Maddie working on her dribbling.
Ty chasing Maddie after she took the ball.
A game of chase to get Ty to use his walker. He took off once we hit the gym floor. However, he was going a little to fast and bit the dust. That ticked him off, and he really didn't want anything to do with his walker after that.
Ty taking a moment to wave at his biggest fans!
Maddie actually jumping off the ground.
In the gym, you push your ball.

The Works

Chris and I decided to take advantage of a long weekend and go on a field trip. We went to The Works in Newark which is a children's museum.
the gravity wall
fantastic frigits wall...make a design and watch the marble travel
the train table
Dress up...nobody wanted to stop for a picture
magnets
the market
Ty found a cave here too!
a puppet show
xylophone bench
The trip was a success. Ty and Maddie loved it, and even enjoyed the exhibits that were above their heads. I plan on taking them back again in the spring. I wish Zanesville had something like this!

When Daddy's Away.....

Chris had a basketball game in Columbus, so we stayed home. I decided that it would be the perfect time for a play date. My friend Katie brought her two daughters, and my friend Ashley brought her son and daughter.
Cami is drinking someones water. All night one child was drinking out of another child's drink.
The girls in the kitchen.
They drew on the table.
Maddie was obsessed with Grey. Poor Grey. At this point Ashley got Maddie to sit across from him and just look at him. Later, Maddie scratched his face and he bled! This was an issue all night with Maddie. She couldn't get her hands on him enough.

Kenna and Ella having fun

Annual Alumni Game

Maddie having a little fun on the court after Chris' alumni game at Muskingum.
Ty enjoying the game with Mimi.
I think the alums won by twenty or so points. After the game, Chris wanted to know if he needs to hang it up. My reply, " I have no idea. I saw about ten seconds of the game!" Does he really think I get to watch the game with the twins there? With that said, he did score 20 points so I think he is ok for another year!

A Basketball Game

A typical Friday night...we went to the Tri Valley basketball game to support Daddy. This particular Friday, TV was playing John Glenn. It was a packed house, and Hall of Fame Night (add 30 minutes between the reserve and varsity game).
Somehow Ty ended up on a pep band member's lap. He was playing the drums while the band was playing. He was with Uncle Ted when he joined the band. Uncle Ted takes good care of Maddie and Ty at the games.
Maddie liked the band, but she was obsessed with the "dawgs." We had to visit them many times during the game. There were two on this particular night.
