Play Ball

It was the perfect afternoon to go to a Tri-Valley softball and baseball game. We haven't been to one all season. We decked Maddie and Ty out in their TV gear and headed to Dresden. Ty and Maddie had a good time...watched a little bit of the games, ate numerous snacks, and played in the rocks.

Live at Noon

Maddie waiting to go on air.

One of our duties as the March of Dimes Ambassador Family was to be interviewed during Live at Noon on our local T.V. station. It went pretty smooth. Ty fell asleep in the car on the way there. I let him sleep until we went on air. He sat on my lap perfectly still the entire time. Maddie kept saying she wanted to be on T.V. like Barney; however, when the time came she wanted to sit with me instead of Chris and basically cried until she got her way. I really think she just wanted to get closer to Brian Wagner, the news anchor, because tonight when we watched the interview she said she wanted to kiss Brian!

Wrestling Tournament

Saturday, we traveled to Columbus to watch Cousin Abe from Chicago wrestle. We arrived at the Convention Center around 10:30 a.m. and stayed til 3. We had to leave before his last match so it wouldn't get ugly! Actually, Maddie and Ty were really good. There was plenty of space for them to be active and lots of our family was there...even family members that we usually only see at Thanksgiving.

Making Breakfast

Ty ready to help.

The best part....eating

Saturday and Sunday morning, Maddie and Ty got in their high chairs and helped make breakfast. Saturday, with the help of Chris, they made french toast, and Sunday, with my help, they made blueberry muffins.

"I'm Walking in Mommy's Shoes"

Maddie found my shoes that I was going to wear, put them on (the wrong feet), and was shuffling around the house saying, "I'm walking in mommy's shoes."

That's What You Said Mommy

The other morning I gave Maddie and Ty a bowl of dry cereal to share. One of them purposely spilled the cereal on the floor. I looked at them and said, "I guess you will have to eat the cereal off the floor." I meant to pick up a piece of cereal and eat it, but to two year olds it meant to get on your hands and knees and eat it off the floor like a dog. I had to laugh because they both did the exact same thing at the exact same time!

Friday, Friends, Fun

Ryan getting ready to go down the slide. It was suppose to be a mother and son picture, but I wasn't quick enough!
Towards the end of the night Maddie got a little tired and laid on the ground.
Then Ty did the exact same thing!
Braxton going down the slide head first.
A much needed relaxing evening was in order after a long week of giving the fourth grade Ohio Achievement Assessments; therefore, we had a few friends over for dinner and a big play date. All the kids got along perfectly! It was a lot of fun talking to adults while playing with children!

Rod's Spaghetti Dinner

We were in charge of dessert tonight. Chris made milk shakes since Maddie and Ty love them.

Uncle Ted was helping Maddie hide from Matt.
After swim lessons, we went to BB's for dinner. Maddie requested Rod's spaghetti earlier in the week so she got it. Dinner was delicious, and Ty and Maddie had fun with everyone. We hadn't seen Uncle Ted, Aunt Nancy, and Tanner for awhile. Uncle Ted had knee surgery after a skiing accident, and Aunt Nancy has been sick.

One, two, three...dunk!
Last Sunday we started swim lessons. It is the same class as last year, but a different teacher. Ty wants to splash and do his own thing. Maddie loves it all, but wants to jump in the pool constantly.
