Thinking Outside the Box

Saturday BB called to invite us over. She said Matt had made something for Maddie and Ty. We stopped by her house once we returned from our shopping adventure in Columbus to check out what Matt made. He had turned a couple boxes into a tunnel for Ty and Maddie. They can crawl through it and sit inside of it. It even has windows and lots of doors! Ty and Maddie were way impressed. Thanks Matt!

Evan Turner

Chris spotted Evan Turner, a basketball player at Ohio State, at Polaris Fashion Center today when we were shopping. He pointed him out to me, but I didn't think it was him. A little later we saw him in the food court and Chris asked him for a picture and, by the way, he was really nice and has perfect teeth. Go Bucks!

Fridge Fun

One night this week, I actually attempted to cook dinner since Chris was at his tournament game. While I was preparing dinner, Maddie and Ty got in the fridge and took almost everything out. I just let them have fun until Maddie dropped a glass jar. Later that night when I was picking up, I found the mayo in a tub of toys!

Coat Exchange

Maddie's new thing is she wants to wear Ty's coat, and she wants Ty to wear her pink coat. I have no problem letting her wear Ty's coat; however, I have not let Ty wear her coat!

Cross Country Signing

Allison, a member of Chris' cross country team, singed with Ohio University on Saturday. She will be running cross country and track at OU. She earned a full ride scholarship! I took Maddie and Ty to the signing. Ty slept through half of it, and Maddie just wanted the icing off the cake. We gave her a little bit of icing knowing that later in the day she would get more at the birthday party. Chris was getting his picture taken, and I was holding a sleeping Ty when Maddie wanted to find John. I told her she could go find him, then I heard laughter and Chris' principal looking over at me. I decided I better head that way and found Maddie covered in green icing. Maddie had found her buddy John, and he had let her help herself to his cake!

Emma's Birthday

On Saturday, we attended Emma's 5th birthday party. She opened lots of presents which Maddie was extremely interested in. Then we had cupcakes and ice cream. Ty loved the ice cream and said "MMMM" after each bite. Maddie ate all the icing off her cupcake.

Balloons

Friday night was Senior Night at TV. After the game and reception, Uncle Ted dropped off a bundle of balloons for Ty and Maddie. During the game they wanted them and kept asking for them. When they woke up Saturday morning, they were happy to see that balloons had been delivered. The balloons have been a huge hit. I had to untangle the balloons from them only a few times!

Basketball Season

Last night ended the regular season for Tri-Valley. Now it's tourney time! Anyway, I finally took a few pics of Maddie and Ty in their official TV wear. Chris got an old cheerleading uniform and an old warm up. Then Ma worked her magic and made Maddie her own cheer leading outfit and Ty a jacket. Ty and Maddie love to go to the games, and overall are really good at the games. We usually only go to home games, but did manage to go to a few away games too. I have a team of pros in the stands with me to help entertain the twins...thank you BB, Uncle Ted and Aunt Nancy. In addition, Aunt Kim and Jacob babysat Ty and Maddie for two games so I could go and really watch the game. Go Dawgs!

Just Playing

Chris snapped some pics of Ty and Maddie hanging out after school on Friday (yes, we finally had school).

On the 12th Day of Winter Break...

Today was our 12th snow day! Chris and I have not been to school for two weeks. My friend, Katie, invited Maddie, Ty and I over for a play date. The three girls and Ty had fun playing and eating snacks. When we returned home, Chris was in the yard making a snowman for Ty and Maddie. He was quite proud of his work!

Sewing Lesson

Ma always brings her sewing machine with her when she comes, because she is always working on a project for the twins. This week's project is making Ty a Tri-Valley jacket out of an old basketball warm up. Nibby Maddie had to be with Ma to find out what she was doing. She loved the pins.

Glow-n-the-Dark Putt Putt

On our 11th snow day, we made our way to the mall for some fun. We met Ryan and Dani there for our first experience with putt putt; however, I am not sure what we did classifies as putt putt. The three amigos threw their balls, climbed, ran, and laughed. After playing in the putt putt area, we had a snack (gold fish) and climbed on all the tractors and lawn mowers in the middle of the mall. The night ended by meeting Mimi for dinner at Applebee's.
