Happy Halloween

Then it was Maddie's turn to pick out her candy.

Ty helped Rod pass out candy.
Tonight was Trick-or-Treat in BB's neighborhood. We went to her house and also walked around her neighborhood to a few houses where our friends live to Trick-or-Treat. Maddie is a pro at saying "thank you" now. She wanted to carry each piece of candy she received, and was not afraid to ask for more! All night she kept saying "treat." Ty was the happiest monkey ever. He loved his costume (thank you Brax) and his face lit up when he got a Hershey bar. Then it was dark and we want back to BB's for dinner. Maddie and Ty ate a lot of candy until Daddy told them, "NO MORE CANDY!" I think he was concerned that they would be up all night

Trick-or-Treat at Mimi and Papa's

On the way home from the zoo, we stopped at Mimi and Papa's to Trick-or-Treat in their neighborhood. Maddie and Ty got to Trick-or-Treat with their cousins, Maya and Emma. Chris and I only got the twins out only a few times (at relatives and good friend's homes only), the rest of the trip around the neighborhood they rode in the stroller and watched their cousins run door to door.

We traveled to the Columbus Zoo to participate in Boo at the Zoo. Maddie and Ty wore their Halloween costumes and we toured the zoo with lots of other characters! The weather was perfect (not to0 hot, not too cold) and we even got to see a diver, dressed as a skeleton, feed the fish in the aquarium. The baby elephant was outside and the wolves were playing tag.

Spilled Milk

So I was baking cookies (Chris brought home cookie dough that he had purchased from a student that was going to expire in two days) when Maddie wanted to deliver Ty his milk. After complimenting Maddie on her nice gesture, I handed her the milk. I continued to tend to the cookies when I heard laughter. I turned to find that double trouble, a.k.a. Maddie and Ty, had dumped all the milk on the kitchen floor, and they were slipping and sliding in it. My first thought was to scream, but that hasn't worked yet; therefore, I grabbed the camera and snapped away.

Going to the Chapel....

My good friend, Lindsay, from Muskingum College got married Saturday. Chris and I traveled to Sandusky, Oh for the wedding. It was the first time I had left the twins overnight. Aunt Tracey came to babysit. They all got along fine. Tracey said they didn't even ask for "mommy."

Sugar Cookies

Since my mom is here this week, I thought it would be the perfect opportunities to ice some sugar cookies. Chris says he is not "wired" for these types of projects. I used my secret cookie recipe (Pillsbury break and bake) and delicious frosting (thank you again Pillsbury) for the project. Ty and Maddie were extremely interested in the icing and the sprinkles were fun. Maddie ate every last crumb of her cookie, and Ty ate all his icing and sprinkles. It ended with throwing both of them in the tub!

Free T--Shirts

Aunt Tracey sent teachers that she found at church when cleaning out the closets. Luckily, that fit Ty and Maddie perfectly.

Cleaning

I was doing the monthly cleaning that includes vacuuming the furniture. My helpers thought this was quite intriguing and decided they needed to be in the middle of the action.

Magnets

Maddie was playing with the magnets on the fridge. That must be exhausting work because Maddie had to pull the diaper box over and pop a squat!

Jewelry

Ty enjoyed playing in my basket of bracelets in the morning while I was getting ready for school.
