The Polar Express

We met the Meyers family in Dennison to ride the Polar Express.

I wasn't sure how well Maddie and Ty would do. I thought they might be too young and I also thought the 90 minute train ride might be too long. Boy was I wrong! They were wonderful!
"Take a picture of my gum, Daddy!" Maddie is still obsessed with chewing gum. She will do anything for a piece of gum.
On the train ride, they read the book. An elf walked around and showed us the pictures.
Then we ate cookies and drank hot chocolate.

The conductor came around and punched our tickets.

Finally, we were at the North Pole. We got to see all of Santa's different workshops.
Santa was there waving to us too!

Santa's reindeer
Maddie would not leave the boy behind us alone. She noticed that he had lost a tooth and really wanted to give him a dental exam!

The elves had a "Ho, Ho, Ho!" contest. Maddie got to say "Ho, Ho, Ho!" in the microphone. Ty got half way to the front and then turned around.

Ty was mesmerized by Santa. He didn't flip out at all!
"Santa!" Ty pointing to Santa.
Ty waving at Santa.

All four cousins waiting to talk to Santa and get his autograph.

Ty handed Santa his autograph book.

Then Maddie handed hers to Santa.

The best picture we could capture with Santa. Maddie has her blanket and Ty thought Santa was moving in a little too close, but no tears!
