Egg Shells

This past week was a rough one. Due to illnesses and who knows what else, it was like walking on "egg shells" around here. You never knew who or what you were going to tick off at any point in time. Ty has been sick off and on throughout February. We are not quite sure why he has been unhappy lately. Saying "unhappy" is putting it nicely. Aunt Kim says he is just "strong willed" which is the reason he has been able to get where he is today. Maddie started running a low fever last Sunday and ended up with a cold. She has been whiny, clingy, and not sleeping through the night. Thankfully, Ma changed her weeks and came to help out. Friday morning I heard Maddie talking to someone. I asked Chris who she was talking to and told me it was Ma. I said I didn't know Ma was up already. Chris laughed and said she probably couldn't sleep because she was so excited to go home!

Maddie doing her "dryer" dance. Recently, we got a new washer (thanks Ma and Pa) and dryer. The dryer plays a song when it is done, so we dance when the song plays.

Maddie giving Ty some love.

Ty and Maddie playing with left over candy hearts. They are fun to stack, flick, and eat!

Ty eating a chunk of cheese....great, for a child who is lactose intolerant!

Other news...

*Maddie isn't talking....everything is a cheer. You ask her a question and she answers with some yelling, clapping, and a "Go Scotties!"

*Ty and Maddie started gymnastics this week. Maddie was the only girl in the class this time. I was pleasantly surprised at how much she remembered since our fall session. It took Ty awhile to warm up (remember the "unhappy" stuff) but when he decided to participate he did well!

*I think I could write a book about things that happen during church. This week, Ty did not last long in the pew (remember the "unhappy" stuff) so I took him to the cry room which is just a little sound proof room in the back corner of the sanctuary. While sitting in there, Ty saw and heard a baby crying so he said, "baby crying." Then he saw the baby get carried out of the sanctuary by his daddy. Then Ty said, "He bad!" I found this really funny since minutes early Ty threw a huge fit to land him in the cry room!
